Why Strength Training Is Important for both, Men and Women

Strength training helps you feel stronger, more confident, and supported in your body.

As we age, muscle mass and bone density naturally decrease. Strength training helps protect against this, supporting long-term health, posture, and everyday movement.

It can help:

  • Maintain muscle and strength

  • Support healthy bones

  • Improve confidence and energy

  • Reduce aches and improve posture

Strength training will not make you bulky. Instead, it helps create a strong, toned, and capable body.

With the right approach, strength training can feel simple, safe, and sustainable — no matter your starting point.

Strength training is one of the most effective ways for women to support long-term health, bone density, and overall strength.

Hi, I’m Farida — also known as BohFitness.

I help adults build strength for everyday life, so they can stay mobile, confident, and independent as they get older.

I used to be overweight, with poor eating habits and a sedentary lifestyle. Cycling to work was the turning point that changed my path. Soon after, while working as a carer before becoming a personal trainer, I saw first-hand what happens when people lose their strength and mobility, and it reinforced why I chose this direction.

My training focuses on exercises that support real life, like getting up from the floor, climbing stairs, carrying shopping, and moving with confidence day to day. Not quick fixes, but strength that actually matters in daily life.

I am friendly, honest, and supportive. I meet you where you’re at and help you build consistency, confidence, and progress you can genuinely feel proud of.

Everyone starts somewhere. If you’re ready to feel stronger, move better, and invest in your long-term health, you’ve already taken the first step by being here.
